Alas! Now you won’t be guessing around the brand of barely visible underwear from low-slung pants. Yes, that’s true, the town council in Louisiana has finally and successfully made it a crime to expose your undergarments from the trousers.
I guess nobody will forget to wear belts as this mistake can lead them to six months of imprisonment or a fine of $500. Even the lawmakers think that $500 is a hefty amount as fine whereas it should have been around $25.
Anyways, now nothing can be done as the law is passed. Some call it a racial discrimination against black people but Mayor Carol Broussard denied this and said, even ‘white people wear sagging pants, too. And it’s about showing off your underwear in public.’
I wish this hip-hop style is banned everywhere around the world because once it had put me into a very awkward situation. There was a guy walking ahead me in a low-slung trousers... a kid called him from behind - he did not hear it and that kid came running - pulled his trouser to get noticed and embarrassingly his trousers fell on his feet. :) You won’t believe everyone in the market was looking at him and he confidently picked his trousers up and walked away.
