I’m not big on having dead animals, adorning any part of my home décor. But I guess a lot of people out there love that kinda stuff but don’t want the guilt that comes with it. And that perhaps is exactly what prompted Columbus, Ohio-based design studio Nonfiction Design Collective. The dynamic designers at the studio put a guilt-free twist on the challenging art of taxidermy, by getting a bunch of taxidermy rats, having them 3-D scanned, slip casting that in porcelain and sticking them on a chandelier to make a very bizarre light fixture! Christened Rattus Norvegicus Rex, the light fixture is unusual, to say the least and we just wonder whether the health department will allow restaurants to put these up anytime soon!
