
A man is suing a health drink maker company , saying that he had developed an permanent erection for the last 2 years, after he drank the health drink.
Christopher Woods from New York is claiming that after drinking the health drink he got an abnormal erection. Woods told that he drank a health drink - ‘Boost Plus’ on 5th June 2004, which is manufactured by the Swiss-based Novartis pharmaceutical company.
His court papers mentions that — ‘when he woke up the next morning, he found an abnormal and permanent erection that would not subside’ forcing him to take medical treatment for his condition which is called severe priapism.
The Associated Press mentions that - Woods had to undergo a medical surgery to implant a Winter shunt, by which blood moves from one part to another.
The web site of Novartis’ Boost Plus have presented and promoted their health drink as — a great tasting, high calorie, nutritionally balanced oral drink for those guys who need extra energy and protein in a limited volume, and it is available in vanilla, chocolate and strawberry flavors.
Novartis, spokeswoman, Brandi Robinson said that — the company is fully aware of the lawsuit but they would not comment on this issue right now.
